DISABILITY AWARENESS TRAINING

Inclusion Training offers a guide to creating more inclusive and accessible environments. We provide information, tips, and strategies for interacting with all people in a respectful, caring manner.
Today developmental differences impact American families in unprecedented numbers. According to the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, the percentage of people living with disabilities is 12.6%, which equates to about 40 million individuals in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 1 in 68 children currently living in the United States have autism. The prevalence nationwide is 1 in 42 for males, and 1 in 189 for females. These numbers, which have steadily risen in recent years, warrant the need for expanded educational programs and opportunities, increased community awareness and understanding
Our disability awareness training offers basic information about Autism, Sensory-Processing Issues, Developmental Disabilities, Mobility issues, Deaf/Hard of Hearing Individuals, Blindness/Visual Impairment, and Hidden Disabilities.

Inclusion Festival is the nation’s first and only music and wellness festival designed to include and accommodate individuals with autism and other special needs. Through our festival and our many year-round initiatives we aim to provide unique, immersive experiences that are often inaccessible to individuals impacted by special needs, while also providing the general community with an all-encompassing educational and uplifting experience that cultivates compassion, understanding, acceptance, and systems of support for individuals with autism and demonstrates what is possible when communities embrace inclusion and accessibility.
Inclusion Festival is for EVERY body!
Inclusion Festival is a fiscally-sponsored 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating in partnership with Accessible Festivals, Inc. Together, we are dedicated to making the world more accessible and inclusive through education and experiences.
